Sky chooses to do nothing… for now

Sky chooses to do nothing… for now

Sky hovers over the email again.

Still no reply from Jo.
Still no clue who “K. Nash” is.

And the more Sky stares at it, the harder it is to decide.

Maybe it’s legit.
Maybe it’s a trap.
Maybe… it’s not their decision to make at all.

So Sky leaves it.

Lunchtime passes. Then a meeting.
By the time they get back to their screen, the email has slipped a few lines down the inbox.

Just another unread message... Just another moment passed.

Jo catches sky on her way to the next call:

🗨️ “Hey, did that CV I forwarded get actioned yet?”

Sky freezes.

🗨️
“Not yet. I wasn’t sure if it was really from you…”

Jo nods, distracted.

🗨️
“Yeah, I meant to follow up. It’s a referral. Can you process it today?”

Sky nods back.

And just like that, it becomes a task, not a question.

No harm done...

This time!

But Sky still doesn’t know what the right thing to do would’ve been.
And the next time something feels off…
Will she ignore it again?

Quiet behaviour leads to quiet risks.

Doing nothing feels safe.
But in cybersecurity, hesitation is a habit attackers rely on.

Sometimes doing nothing feels safe... until it isn’t.
